Just found this nice silver Roman coin today in the wood near home, my first antic silver very happy with my new T2 really :)

Coin is a PROCILIA,Lucius Procilius dated 80 BC.

My setting 90/20/ 3.

That's a great old coin. I'd love to be able build a collection of find's like that. HH-CC

Terrific find philou75! Can we assume you are in the UK? I have some Roman coins I found on a detecting trip to the Winchester area last Fall and they have center place in my detecting finds due to their age. We here in the USA get really excited with any coins around 200 years old, and you have one over 2000 years old, which is just fantastic. Thanks for sharing and keep on showing your finds. Mark

Hi Mark652,

I'm in Paris France and not in the UK, I have found this coin in a forest near by among other royal coins but you are right Europe is a very rich place for such discovery.

I also like to travel some times to the UK as great find can also be made.
