T2/F75

I just go my F75 today so a few hours doesn't make me an expert but I have had the T2 for almost a year and feel comfortable but am still learning. I see the F75 has a lot more as far a programing goes. The tones do sound alike on both machines. And hunting my back yard in the gold country (a big back yard) more of a lot. Both machines hunted alike. My T2 was never very noisy runs just like the F75. I feel the T2 is a stripped down F75 and the difference in price would show that.

But for relic hunting I think the machines are very equal. I will be testing both machines at places I have hunted and see how the all metal mood works on both machines. And the last test will be turf hunting. I never was in love with the T2 for turf hunting so I am hoping that the F75 and its programing may add to the fun factor.

The F75 may be a better gold nugget hunter but that is something I have never done before but you never know!

I have a T2 on the way (used with the upgrades). Want to give it a second chance since there is the chance that my first T 2 had a bad coil. Since i have the F75 I'm going to compare both detectors. The way i recall it is the T2 has the processing modes combined with the Tone id mode (not independent like the F75). Which mode has the higher gain on the T2 ?

It is independent from what I read and have seen using the T2 but the T2 has no programs like the F75 it seems to me that the plowed field and Jewel mood and bottle cap mode are programed chips, with that setup programed on the chip but you can reprogram it. Not like a DFX where they programed a few moods and burnt it into memory and you could do the same yourself. I think on the F75 they created a program you couldn't do yourself but allow you to tweak it. That is kind of cool. Like plowed field you can look at the different settings but I think the program itself has its own different setting built in. Very hard for me to explaine this maybe Bill Ladd can help!
