The T2 is a great detector, and I am a happy T2 owner. As with any detector you have to learn its idiosyncrasies, and be willing to put the time into learning all its capabilities. I have not experienced a lot of problems that other users have reported (electrical interference), etc.
In highly mineralized soil conditions the T2 is what I call a chirpy detector, but that is just the nature of the beast, and is no problem for me. It depends on what areas I hunt on how quiet the detector operates.
It is a highly sensitive detector and its target separation is unbelievable. If it tells you there are two or three different coins that are being detected you better dig for multipliable coins.
