I took the T2 to another site for less than an hour. Not only was it 100 again, but then a storm came through & drove me out.
This site was full of iron trash, & I felt comfortable enough with the T2 already to see what it could do. Most folks wouldn't think a coil that size could do well in heavy iron, but I think the speed of the T2 makes up for it. My ground balance # this time was 74, mineralization was minimal. I began unmasking quite a few targets that had been missed by us in the past. Again, mostly those mid-conductive relics like lead & buttons.
This tiny Colonial cuff button @ 5" really showed the T2's power as it sounded like a coin. Not a weak signal like you'd expect with some machines. I took this photo to show how tiny it is....smaller than a fingernail. No marks on this one unfortunately.....

I dug 2 more musketballs, and possibly a 3rd that looks heavily chewed like a wad of chewing gum (where the saying "bite the bullet" came from). Another 1 piece button that says "BEST" looks 1830-40 & was in the same hole as a big piece of iron. I got an overload in the dug dirt on the iron, then seperated the pile & got the higher button tone. Nice.
Here's the handful of stuff which was not bad at a pounded site in about 40 min.......
Anyone know what the arrow looking brass widget is in the lower right?? We dig lots of 'em whatever they are.....

I'm having fun, & hope to get back out there this weekend. Still have not dug a coin yet, but I've been relic hunting per-say. IF there's a small coin in that iron I bet the T2 could sniff it out. Hopefully it's a bit cooler.......
HH,
Bill
