T2 Classic whose getting one???

I believe it will be the next machine I will be buying. It will be for my son he's turning 14 next month and I think he's old enough to join old dad this fall for Civil War relic hunts in the woods and on the hillsides. He's been using a Ace 250 but I want to get him something with a little more of a depth punch and of course a ground balancing option.

I all ready own the classic green T2 and have done for a long time, dont plan on updating it either, happy just using it with the 5'' coil,Sharpshooter and the SEF 15x12 this cover me for most of my needs from using it in confined spaces to a real deep seeker.

I used to have one Mega but I sold it and now they're re-releasing them at a heck of a price, so I figure my son will get a excellent birthday gift!! And if I'm lucky he may let old dad have a swing or two with it!

Todd keep us informed on how it performs!

Am very happy with the original one I have!
What's the newly released price?

400 dollars

my new 'Classic' T2 is more stable, has better TID/numeric 'lock-on,' and less EMI in the same sites I hunted before where I had some EMI issues. Not real serious, but this unit is a more stabile.

The MSRP release price is $499, and the "Accessory Bundle" is $149 MSRP and includes the excellent 5" DD coil. That's the only one I use because I most often hunt in very trashy environments. The other items in the 'bundle' are also very good. Without any discounting, the suggested retail price is really good and this makes for a terrific package at only $648 retail! I'll be grabbing mine shortly after sun-up this morning for some relaxation time. :detecting:

Monte it sounds like they implemented some of their DST technology in the new T2, that's great as it works very well on my F75 LTD2.

If you know where to get a T2 Classic for $400 new, please PM me where.

I meant 500 sorry about that Hightone! ! That would have been a heck of a deal! !

Either price is a great deal. I think if I wait, I may possibly pic up as slightly used one in the $400 range though.:detecting:

$499 is the msrp. I haven't priced them, but unless they are in short supply you should be able to get a better price than that from your dealer.

It's a matter of personal preference, but if I anticipated keeping the unit for a while, I'd go new if it was a $100 price difference. For one thing, the detector would be brand new as opposed to slightly used. More importantly, it would have a full 5 year warranty. With a second hand FT unit, there is no warranty.
