T2 classic or AT Pro opinions

I am looking to buy a new detector. I want a good all around detector with multi tones and VID screen. I have narrowed it down to the T2 classic and the AT Pro. Was hoping for some opinions.

The T2, F75 and F70 are all built on the same core platform with some programming differences.
Huge abilities with all of them...major depth included.
The AT Pro is very popular with many fans also and if you are going to be working around water the obvious advantage is that it is waterproof.
There are many fans of both brands...I have used the F70 for three years and I thank the MD gods for the day it came into my life.
There is no sites under any conditions it has not conquered, nothing it can't do that I have asked it too...so far.
The F70 is the definition of the word sleeper, similar to the T2 in many ways but with less range in the iron section.
0-40 on the T2...0-15 on the Fishers.
For types like me that go after coins and jewelry a better spread on that range but even in extreme iron it is no slouch.

The Patriot is about to be released by FTP for somewhere in the $400-$450 range.
It IS a rebranded F70 with all the same features....supposedly.
The DST on the T2 makes it super quiet but the F70 can be set for quite hunting too if that is what you wish.

Not an easy decision but I would definitely add the Patriot to that list.

Just love my original green T2,the most prolific gold coin machine that i have ever used including Celtic gold full staters from 55BC and also 1/4 staters as well which are pretty small size wise, never used a AT Pro so cannot give a verdict on them, but of course if one does alot of detecting in bad weather or detect in fresh water then its a no brainer it would have to be the AT Pro route,if a AT Pro cam along at the right price i would be very tempted so that i could detect in ancient river/ford crossing as those type of locations and near roman sites had votive offerings throw into the river/stream/pond too the water gods, those type of sites the Garrett would excel at.

I have used both machines depth seems to be comparable seperation I would hand to the T2 it seems to have be faster in iron hits hard on deep targets. It boils down to personal preference and hearing ability good targets seem to stand out better for me with the T2.I seem to be finding more in places I have already been with previous machines dug two wheatys in a worked out side of a hill in a church camp 1918 and 1925 less than a foot apart in iron how could I have missed the targets angle of aproach possably it seems I can always go back and find something in the same spot, but it seems its becoming a habit with the T2.

Here's my 2 cents worth, or whatever other value you may wish to affix to it....
I have had a T2 for about 2 years (first detector) and just sold an AT PRO that I had for about a year.
To be fair to the AT Pro I never put in the time to learn it, but the reason I didn't was because of several things that I just didn't like about it that felt like I was going backwards from the T2. Probably the biggest for me was the 'feel' and balance. I could detect for several hours with the At Pro till my arm was starting to get tired and then pick up the T2 and not feel it. Another thing that I just couldn't get used to was the pinpoint... just feels slow and clunky coming from the T2. For someone who learned on an At Pro or who has put in the time to become proficient these things as well as some other differences that I don't like may not matter or be noticeable.
If you're going to do any water detecting then there's no question about it, but if not then my opinion is that the T2 would be the best choice here, especially considering the $499 price on the T2 classic that many people say is much better than the older T2s. And I have heard that $499 may not be fixed in stone.... you may find a dealer that is willing to negotiate on that.
