T2 behavior on low batteries

Anyone getting odd behavior when the batteries are low?

The other day my T2 suddenly went crazy (rapid, erratic false signals even at lowest sensitivity). The battery indicator was down to 1 bar but no flashing BATT symbol. I replaced the alkaline batteries and it behaved normally again.

Anyone else seeing this?

I wish I could help. So far I don't have enough time on my T2 to have gotten the batteries down to that level. I still have 3 bars after about 7 hours usage.

I did see somewhere it was said that you could expect 40 hours usage on a set, I'm not sure that's realistic honestly, but 30 hours would be fine by me and still more than most detectors get.

Mine only went down to 2 bars, when the low (dead) battery indicator went off. Using rechageables of course, the 2,800mah ones. George (MN)

I got the 2800 mAh batteries on eBay. The seller is in Hong Kong. The name on the batteries is Assia. You can bid on them in various quantities & they're cheaper including shipping than the 2500 mAh ones at Walmart or Target, if you buy 3 or more 4 packs, plus a 2 hour charger is included that charges 1 to 4 at a time.

Also, I should correct my previous statement about the batteries suddenly dying with 2 battery segments showing. Actually, it was just the last segment, but it appeared to have a line through it when the batteries died. HH, George (MN)
