T2 and Headphones

If this has been recently covered I will apoligize in advance.......Reguarding headphones, how much do they help you? I have the T2 and have good hearing. Old home sites is mainly what I hunt and not very noisy surrounding. Will headphones detect targets that you cant hear when not using them? Will headphones detect a target and it not show up on the visual display? I have been doing metal detecting for about a year and half and have never used headphones. Am I missing the boat?

Yes, from what i understand that the deeper targets sound softer. So, if an Airplane goes over while your looking at your screen, you would just see a number and never hear the deep target. Also the right set of phones helps as well. I have killer bee's and they work, i had a set of Grey Ghost and my son bugged me for those. So, I'm in the market for some more now. always nice to update once in a while too. hopes this helps. Also see Bart at Big Boys Hobbies, however I have not order yet. He knows what he's used and selling.

This topic has been covered but it never hurts to go over it again. :)-------Top quality headphones (designed for m.d.ing) DEFINITELY do help if you're really serious about getting the most out of your detector.----There's several other valid reasons for using h.p.'s also.------There are some good brands of detector headphones out there but I prefer the Sunray Pro Golds.---------Del
