T2 almost 1st time user

overev

New member
I am going to retire this yr. and it has been 20+ yrs. since I have done any MD. Have read all the hipe on other makes and only got more confused. They all have the best??????
I guess my question is how is the learning curve and any feed back that might be helpfull from users of the T2....my main areas will be old farm homes, beaches (most fresh water) old church, rivers and some of the old swiming holes from when I was a kid. Might even find that old silver dollar I lost in 1949. Any help greatly appreciated.

Overev, you will absolutely love it. I own Minelab and Tesoro and the T2 is by far the best metal detector I have ever used. My suggestion is if you get the T2 read the manual until you know it by heart and then take it out and start hunting. The more you hunt the more you will understand it. When you get familiar with it you will really love. Read the forums and you will get a lot of good information from other peoples experiences. This is not a hard machine to learn and as far as I'm concerned not a learning curve. This machine is so simple to operate that a caveman could do it.:poke: The only place I've found that it will not do good is on the wet sand at the beach, but the dry sand is ok. I've used mine at the South Carolina Beach's and I'm looking forward to the summer. I tired mine this winter and was surprised by the performance. Keep us posted on what you find, sounds like you have some good places to go. Good luck and happy hunting.
