T2 5 inch head

I have been relic hunting for years and have never owned a small head for my machine. I recently got a T2 and I was wondering what a small head is actually good for and if anyone has any experience with one. Are they worth the money? Do they really work.

Also, since I am posting a comment, does anyone else have trouble pinpointing with a T2, I am a relic hunter, and I dig with a knife, but the target never seems to be where I originally pin point.

Thanks for any help--BAC

The little 5inch coil is like having a laser beam on the end of your shaft,it is a really great coil and i mainly use it for getting in between the stubble over here in the UK and also it comes into its own on very junky sites i call them and the depth of the small coil is really amazing.Would never be without mine.

Regarding pinpointing its really easy and precise on the T2 the item that you are pinpointing will be straight under the little round dot on the top and the bottom of the coil its about 1/2 dia and just in front of the bottom of the rod, alot of people think its plastic mold mark but it is infact the pinpointing mark hence that is why the mark is on the botton and the top of the coil.

I agree. I love the five inch coil. It also forces you to slow down and pay more attention.

I have no trouble pinpointing with the T2 as I use a small headed shovel to dig. Get the target centered first.I dig with a slightly bigger cut than the coil and it has worked for me. Of course this is not for lawns as I usually dig in wooded areas. I take extra care when digging lawns. Hope this helps.
