T-2 Assembly question

My T-2 arrived today and when I put the rubber washers on the lower rod the stock coil went on very difficulty. It would barely move even without tightening the plastic nut. I didn't like how tight the coil was so I took off the coil and removed the rubber washers and it seems to still fit snug enough without them. I like my coil to move somewhat freely when I just have the plastic bolt and washer snug. Has onyone else had this problem and didn't use the rubber washers on their lower rod?? Thanks for your input. CoinShooter-Craig

Thanks for the info guys. So do you think that I'll be fine using no washers , or should I use at least one of them. Thanks again! CoinShooter-Craig

Did you wet them? Or try a drop of dish soap? I would use them both, but then again you said you liked the coil to move freely. I'm guessing that the parts rubbing against each other will over time cause wear. Hang on to them and if it gets to much play in it you can always add them later. Not using them may cause the bolt to wear out.

last time I was on the phone with First Texas, they said was designed to use just the 1 washer.
