Sword build

I bought a Sword scrapper and got it working. Now I need a battery pod and I see that it has a rectangular slot.
The Excal2 battery seems the same width but has the trapezoid body attach. What if I cut little nitches out of these though - would it then fit a shaft (would the metal button match up) - oh yeah, is a 3rd party shaft Excal 2 only, or will work with either - I don't have a shaft kit for it yet.

Sword shaft is different then the Excalibur blues and greens. Just cut the newer battery pod to fit, put all on aligning the battery pod first, then redrill your control pod holes on the newer shaft. Can't remember but there is just a fraction in difference in the mounting holes...

Link is to post with picture of when I cut a new pod to fit the sword. Don't need as big of a gap as I had, but it works and doesn't wobble around even with the gap.
