"After you Select your Tone Option press the trigger / button and it will ask you to confirm either Yes or No"
You just might be 'missing' the not so obvious step????"

Hopefully this will be of help to you. On page 36 of the manual it explains how to get to the appropriate menus and the corresponding choices. Once you have made your selection for 4 tones or Combination or whatever, it will ask if you wish to save any changes. If you do not respond with "yes" it will revert back to whatever was there to begin with.

This may well be too elementary for your problem and I don't wish to point at anything obvious......just trying to help. If all else fails, call your dealer or Minelab........I'm sure either one would be happy to walk you through it. Just be prepared for a wait calling Minelab.

Stay safe,

Thanks for suggestions I will just reset and start over like new machine.
I would back up all my modes into the Xchange2 program before resetting. After you reset you can put those modes back into the CTX "After seeing if your machine works with factory settings". If your problem doesn't come back after that, then you're good to go. :) If your problem replicates itself, then it maybe time to give Minelab a call and get a fix.
