swimmers medal / token / button?

Found this at an old beach that started back in the 1920's. Its a little bigger in diameter then the "V" nickle that I found at the same swimming hole. Any ideas? Thank you for your help - Jim

Hi Jim, The first pic of the airplane(button) I am pretty sure can connected to Charles Lindberg's flight across the Atlantic.I have 2 of those, very similar to each other, but still very much like yours. I found them probably 40+years ago with my first detector, a BFO.I never really did any intensive research on them but they must be pretty rare. Your's is the only other "dug" one I have seen . Have to say the V nickle looks as if it may have been been made into a button or maybe a pin of some sort.Great finds and they prove you have a site with some pretty old stuff. Should be some Silver there yet so I would say it's "HammerTime"! HH, Charlie

Hi Charlie,

To clarify, I placed the "v" nickel on top for diameter reference. It is not hooked to the button. Thank you for your help. Yes, I still have some area to cover at this old beach ( now a bird sanctuary) . For a while I didn't think anyone had a clue as to what it was. HH to you too. Thanks again for your help - Jim
