Sweet bell

Found in a quick 10 minute hunt on my property. Non magnetic, clapper still inside. maybe copper or brass. Interesting seam, could help date it. Penny for scale.

Nice crotal bell. Some of them actually have makers marks. The marks would be on either side of the opening (on the top of the picture with the penny). I would still say 1800s even with no markings, but if they are there you'll be able to narrow down the date range.

Sadly, no markings. Shape seems to be definitely late 1800's. Glad to still have ball inside it. I found a hand forged ring today in the same spot. I guess we know where the barn stood!
