Sweep speed of a GTI-1500

I'm learning my GTI-1500. I've been reading about making sure you are sweeping at the correct speed. It seems like the GTI-1500 likes to go fairly fast. Am I correct? How fast do other GTI-1500 users sweep?

Since it is a motion detector it will go deeper and discriminate better at faster speeds but you can scan at any speed you wish fromn near non-motion to super fast. The 1500 will adjust itself to any speed you use but slow is always the best. You aren't in a race and you'll find more taking your time.
