Swarming Nat's

Do you guy's get those little swarming nat's over where you live? The reason I ask I'm highly allergic to them. I welt up like crazy when I get bit. Do you know of any repellent or topical solution that I can put on that will repel these darn nat's? It's almost bad enough I might have to top detecting for awhile and I really don't want to do that. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have tried Off Cutter and the dryer sheet with no success. Thanks

I think those little buzzards are everywhere. I never needed a repellent though, they are more of a nuisance than anything to me.

Robbie, Have you tried lemon balm? It's a plant and you can pick the leaves off and rub them in your hands to get the oils out and then rub it on your skin. I wish you had some of our plants. They grow like weeds.........Part of the mint family. I bet you could find someone with plants down there. That might work. Works great on those pesky mosquitoes. So much better than any store bought oils, etc.

Thanks Nancy!!! I will have to ask around and see if anybody has that plant. I have to find something that's for sure.

If you can't find it. Make a trip north and I'll give you some. :) Hey, we've got a club hunt coming next week. :)

I don't like the little pests either. I wear a baseball cap with a bug net over it. The net covers my head and neck and the little gnats are not smart enough to fly up inside at the bottom. You can get the head nets at most hunting/sporting stores. They also make net jackets but the head net seems good enough for me since they always seem to go for my head and neck.
