Sven built a very nice external speaker for me , has a nice volume control and runs off a 9V battery plugs into the headphone jack, It really is a improvement over the fang dangled thing I put together , I can really hear those wispers now ,

It sounded like a Geiger counter at first! The sound is amazing and for someone that doesn't wear headphones, I can imagine it will work amazing for you!

Wow Gunnar you are in mosquito land lol I think they were turning the controls on your detector  Nice setup with your new speaker system. Too bad you can't stay out and detect.

Nice! Video made me itch and scratch.

Thats a quality external speaker and with its own battery supply as well, the mosquito's seem to love it as well

Thats a neat looking speaker amp package and sounds great too.

Now you need to get Sven to build an ultrasonic mosquito repeller box to mount on the other side of the arm cuff!

Yes the mosquitoes are so badd we have had the most rain in june since 1871 its horrible, and lots of flooding , the ponds are swarming with thousands of tadpoles and the dragon flys are coming to deal with the skeeters, I have to get out to open areas, then its O,K thanks guys & galls

That's a great set-up, especially for the uninhabited areas that you usually detect. I thought I had it bad the other day with biting critters, until I watched this video.

I just had one really mean blood sucking biting fly that had me dancing around and swatting my ankles until it got its fill of blood.

Gunnar I wished you could detect some of the areas that I detect. You'd rack up with your superb detecting abilities. :detecting:

Gunnar very nice video! How deep will that Mirage detect? I thought about getting a PI machine for relic hunting the areas that have very little trash but may hold some deep relics.

Junior, the mirage with the 7" concentric and get a dime 5" deep with a good signal but its hot on gold & brass a pull tab with the 7" coil easy 7 to 8" in ground and i mean even mineralized ground ground that would knock out a disc machine , now the 10" coil is deeper still you can get a pull tab at 9" deep and a dime about 6" at least the mirage with the 12 US but it can see thru foil and still nabe a coin or ring and small Iron that would knock out a disc machine , like say a small nail over a coin the mirage may not sound off on the small nail if its at 3" but will hit the coin or ring right under it i have don't this several times now its not super hot on Iron but you will have to dig what Iron it hears but this machine has upper abilities and its so darn light you would just freek out . the mirage is a compliment to a disc machine .

Junior, the Mirage was built and geared specifically to find small gold and gold jewelry but, it does really well on coins and silver rings.
Not meant to be a relic or deep coin machine for that there are other PI's on the market. If you could get your hands on a CrossBow Classic PI like Mega owns that's the PI you want.

Nice unit

Sven sure does nice work

Can he build a skeeter killer ?

I don't know how legal these are in your area,

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Electronic-Fly-Mosquito-Bug-Kill-Swatter-Zapper-Racket-/310276139041?pt=AU_Gadgets&hash=item483de62821

but they are very effective and I am sure Sven could improve on the concept, maybe include a fan to suck the mossies in and mount it on the handle of the detector.
