I have the MXT 300 so you know what coil came with it. I just purchased and received the 10X12" SEF EXcelerator coil and I'm going to enjoy using it. It definitely goes deep.

What small coil would you pros suggest I purchase next to be able to pick through the crap that seems to be where I don't want it to be?!?

I like the 4.5 X 7 EXcelerator, But if I was going to add another coil with what you have it would be the 6 X 10 DD.............

I have a 6x10dd and a 4x6 dd coil, for the most part I use the 4x6 it is easy to pin point and only looses a 1" in depth to the 6x10.

Bula I have to agree with you on loosing the 1" in depth............... Except for using the 4 X 6 most of the time. Its the other way around for me.

4X6 or the 5.3. Either will make living with trash more tolerable.

Hey Hillbilly...thanks for your suggestion. Do you have the larger EXcelerator coil?

How does the 4.5 X 7 do on depth?

Depends on what you are hunting. I own all the White's coils for my MXT except the new 10" DD. If you are hunting coins and relics, definetly the 5.3 eclipse. If you are going to hunt gold and extremely trashy areas for coins, then the 4x6 DD is the way to go. My other opinion is to stay with the White's coils.

It gets about 6 to 8 inches it really depends on soil conditions and it separates trash good, and the 10" Excelerator its a great all round coil close to the same performance as the stock 9.5 with a little more depth, I also have the 10 X 14 EXcelerator and it goes allot deeper but does not do well in trash..........
