Surprised by a "D" in Indiana

Got out today with a friend hitting some old house sites. We were finding some interesting things but nothing super cool. At the last site, just before dark I got a weak signal with the F75. Read at about a 44 but with a decent tone. Dug an Eagle button. I was super pleased because I thought I saw an "I" on it. Got it home, gave it a bath and saw a "D". Pretty rare in my neck of the woods. I always love finding CW stuff in Indiana.

Good find  Pre-Civil War Dragoon button. Many of these old Dragoon buttons were used by Confederates during the war. See if the makers mark reads on back Canfield Bro & Co Baltimore
Keep searching that site . HH Jim
