Surprise in a roll of pennys

Bought 10 rolls of pennys a little while ago and much to my surprise, the first roll I opened, out rolled an Aussie nickle. It's a 1976 and it has what looks like some sort of satanic symbol on the back. It's probably an Aussie animal of some sort but it sure looks like some demon from the pit to me. No Wheaties in the first 3 though. Got 10 rolls earlier in the week and found 3 wheats in them. See how boring it gets up here in the frozen tundra!

Buy nickel rolls too. You'd be surpised how many oldies are still circulating. War nickels are still common finds too.

Final score was: 10 rolls of pennys yeilded 2 wheats, a 1950d and a 1958d 2 Canadian pennys and one Aussie nickle. that makes a total of 5 wheats in 20 rolls.

5 wheats out of a thousand? Holy buckets !! I still think nickels are a better bet. A war nickel is about $1.60

Here in NJ it's not uncommon to find rolls of silver quarters. The coins shops tell people there husbands coins are wothless. So they just bring them to the bank rather than sell then to th dealer. I have been roll searching for years. I have buckets of silver. Best part it's all free to do.

I did roll hunting a couple of years ago, use to do half dollars, got a whole role of 64 silver , and I did dimes and got a whole role of Mercs, gave most of them away, I would do it this winter but those oil prices are chewing up my cash reserves , it's lots of fun
