Well I now know when my knew knee will be installed.... Monday morning at 11:30 a.m.! Then in April sometime I will have another one done on my left. I figure that by June or July, the silver mines will be opened up to me once again.........NGE
my mum had boath knees done 5 years ago she is a lot better for it and walks good
hope your op goes well
it has made her very happy after a lot of pain over the years
Good luck with your surgery. My dad had both of his knees replaced and he is still detecting strong. He told me that the secret to recovering quickly is pushing yourself as hard as possible in rehab and when you think that you cannot do anymore, do more.
I have numerous pre-op exercises that I am doing right now (I can hardly walk) Have not been allowed to take any of my pain meds, calf muscles are soooooo sore, glutimus maximus' are a pain in the kiester. Can't take my Lasix ( body looks like a balloon ). Then the night before, they say NO insulin They said they would rather have me have High sugar than low sugar, since I can't have anything to eat after 11 pm Sunday night. Sure glad they do not forbid insulin for the whole day.......NGE
Sure will, just done one set of 15 exercises that I have to do 3 times a day (pre-op). I can hardly walk, but I can walk enough to make it to church, after all, I have a better physician there than I do at the hospital.......NGE
Yes the rehab can be a pain in the butt...and other places too my hip replacement surgery was done on the 15th and I can already walk 10-15 steps while holding up my walker I too have swelling in the foot more of distraction rather than painful. You will have good days and some bad days take them all in stride
