Surfs UP - CA Beach Finds :detecting:

Met up with a friend for a little CA beach hunting action. We couldn't have asked for better weather (in sharp contract to last Thursday). I made a few finds, and learned some valuable lessons as well (like don't tell one of the old timers that you just came from a coin pocket so he can go and find a nice BIG diamond ring at it after you just left :ranting: :rage: :rant:

I didn't load up on gold, but did manage to get one of those gold Mexican name rings with "Maria" carved in the top. It's not marked, but it tested positive at 14K, and weighs in at a little over five grams :bouncy:

Also got a black silver earring, a nitro loaded earring that was once silver plated, and a dateless green crusty wheatie. All in all it was a good hunt for a turf dweller, but lots to learn, surf hunting is an entirely different ballgame then turf hunting.

Man, its only 19 degrees over here in Michigan! We can only dream of water hunting...:sadwalk:
