Hello Everyone,
We are getting what I hope is the last snow of the season today.
I went coin shooting with my ACE 250 and I believe if I had bought it first, I would not have bought my 1350. This little 250 does almost everything but dig the coins for you. I found about a dozen coins in about 45 minutes and didn't even have to use the pinpoint mode.
Today, I have been surfing the net and reading the different forums and I have come to the conclusion that this is the easiest forum to surf and for the most part the friendliest. I have been a member for a very short time and feel like some of y'all are close friends.
Have a Great Day, Your Friend

I agree with it being a freindly site. I belong to 5 other non-detecting forums and people are down-right rude and nasty. The foul language that they use turns me off. People have been banned from a few of those forums. I think I will stick with this one.

I'm just glad I ended up getting a ace 250 instead
of some older obsolete machine that wouldn't have been as
good. "I started out prowling e-bay for used, but ended
up buying a new 250". I had no idea what brand I would
get when I first started looking. Actually , I was almost
leaning an older whites.. But then stumbled
across reviews about the ace machines. I knew from the
start I wasn't going to pay a whole lot for a first
machine. Them high $$$$ models were out from the start..
Might consider one at a later date though if I thought
it would help at something.
Yep, a good bunch here, and lots of info in all the
various posts. I've had mine about 2 months I guess,
and having these forums sure speeds up the learning
curve. Also you get to see the goodies people find. :)

I just came from a hunt in a park where my club puts on a hunt once a year, found a 1952 dime someone missed. I went back over the same ground with my ACE 250 that I just searched with my 1350 and found even more coins. What a great hobby!!

I got out this afternoon for a while. Managed to snag
31 more coins, another key, "makes three this weekend",
and about 15 pulltabs.. But some were reading like
nickles, so I couldn't resist.. Was using the sniper coil
again today. I really like that thing..It's light, easy
to swing, and even though it doesn't cover too much ground,
it hits hard at what it sees. At one point, I was plunkin
up pennys about as fast as I could dig em out. I'd grab one,
move two feet over, and see another... I think many have lost
coins out there over the years when sitting in the yard.
Anyway, I'm now up to 470 coins, just from my yard alone.
I've been trying to hit 500, and it's in easy sight now.
One more good day could do it. BTW, I got one more wheat today..
A 1952...:heh: I like those high end machines, but at this
point, I'm fairly happy with the ace 250. I've got the extra
coils now, so it's pretty versatile. Can snipe coins, or
field hunt, either way I wanna go... I consider it a solid
10 inch machine with the big coil. Not too bad for the money
involved. I'd have to cough up quite a bit to get any decent
increase in performance. Once I get my 500 out of the yard,
I might actually consider trying somewhere else for a while..
but while these are here for the plunkin, I keep on a plunkin
em.. I'm starting to wonder just how many I'm going to end up
with once I start to clean it out. The only bummer is most
are pennies. Only 12 quarters, 10 nickles, and 19 dimes so far.
I won't be quitting my job anytime soon.
