Surf Hunting

I've been getting better and better at the beach on dry, wet sand and in shallow water. I have found much but.... I have been wondering if I go out a little further if I will find even more or better stuff. I have also wondered why after hunting the same stretch of beach I haven't been finding much. Shouldn't something be washing up on the beach?

How exactly does the surf affect how items lost in the water end up on the beach and or why/if something doesn't??

Well you gota consider 1 its winter so less people. 2 the beaches manny times are comed on dry land . And 3 more people detect at the beach. 4 PI Pulse induction machines get the deepest targets at the beach in water

This is a beach I hunt frequently, have never seen anyone else, but have heard others say they had been there and didn't find anything. I hunted this beach daily for over a week and go back at least once a week, mostly because I thought more would wash ashore. I hunted it for several days, came back the next to find they had put new sand down. Hunted that for several days until I stopped finding anything but junk. It's 5about a half mile long and is 30 yards wide at one end and narrows to a couple yards on the other. Found about $10 to $15. in clad and a gold wedding band, with some toys, keys, etc. It isn't one of those that hundreds of people use regularly. I just thought more would accumulate over time. My ATP has worked well, and I have found coins as deep as 6 or 8 inches in the shallow surf.

My question is, If people lost more in the water, Shouldn't it wash ashore? Or, will it just be buried at sea? What determines which it will be? If I went deeper into the water would I find more than at the shallows?

Well most of the time you wana hunt low tide in the shallow water is where the goodies are at. Some beaches have manny goodies and some have less. Your best bet is hunt as manny beaches as you can. HH

it is my experiance that nothing gets washed on shore exept during a heavy storm,it just gets buried deeper, that is where a pi machine comes in handy.

According to my limited experience.
On a beach area must distinguish "always dry" area and "wet".
In the wet zone and moved by the waves. Heavier objects sink into the sand.
The strong tides can carry or bring sand. People lose a lot in the water, on the site where they bathe and play, is by contrast "body hot / cold water" and dilation and stuff of physics.
Some beaches are richer than others. I've looked on a beach to lose strength, one day and another and another and has not left any gold, yes many coins and other objects large and small, but my friend with the same machine on another beach just 5 km. has been very positive and fruitful. Why?.
For all this, I think: "I'll give the beach when she wants." You have to go many times lol

I look for beach erosion, dips on the sand,rocks(big) spilled in one area, broken shells and theni grid that area slowly till i find green coins, that will tell me im close to the jewelry.Low tide is the best time.There a guy on youtube who shows how he looks for and finds for the viewers with wisdom.
