Surely Someone Has Received The X-70

I took mine out for 2 hours this morning to a school band practice field. The 70 found $6.42 in clad and 4 rosie dimes, a silver toe ring, a huge silver plated mouthpiece for a tuba, 3 sets of fancy band boot tips made of brass, 31 nickels out 34 locked on solid #12 readings, the other 3 were beaver tails so I'm very satisfied with those results :)
Nothing was any deeper than 7" so it's pretty hard to see any advantage over the 50, YET that is.
Had to break early because I've got a garden to plant today but I'm sure other reports will start rolling in soon.

Hi,

What with all the accusations of people being Minelab shills maybe we should just all keep quiet on the X-Terra 70. Would not want to be accused of hype or anything!

All I do know at this point is that I really liked the X-Terra 50, and the X-Terra 70 appears to have addressed all the items I wished the X-Terra 50 had but did not... and then some. On paper at least it comes very close to my idea of the perfect detector. Can't wait to get out and give one a serious spin!!

I was told about it last night by a local guy I hunt with on occasions, problem is though, when he takes you to a site, he has pretty much already pounded it to death from one end to another.
He drove up as I was almost finished, asked "IF" I'd had any luck and was pretty much shocked that I had pulled anything at all besides trash.
The old boy is a good hunter but this place has a lot of trash mixed in and he hunts exclusively with a stock 9.5" coil on his IDX Pro with very low gain.
Think he got a little frustrated when I poured out the finds from my pouch but he said he was going to hunt it again.
I hung around for a few more minutes and watched him check a target I had went over previously and didn't dig because of roots. He said it was trash at 6" and I told him it was a dime, he scratched away at the dirt, cut some roots and finally pulled the clad dime up. He looked up at me with the dime in his hand and said DAMN !
Got to love how these X-Terra's perform, especially in bad ground :)
Oh yeah, one more thing, hate to edit a post but wanted to share something about the 70 .... the multi tone on this machine is flat out BAD TO THE BONE ! Now, back to the garden I go :(
H.H.
