Some others too..but those two guys are consistent getting out detecting and finding the good Stuff !!

Thanks men We all look forward to your next adventure in detecting...

Yeah, no kidding right! John lives a few miles from the arctic circle, has to hunt off a dogsled, uses a power auger to dig his finds, been in scuffles with the Russians over mineral rights, and Jimmy is so old, its a wonder he can even use a computer to post, hunts off a hoveround out back of the Veterans of the Crimean war nursing home where he lives! I know Fongu's been getting out and expect to see something from him this week, he got a dive suit and all...and Senda? Whats up with him? Maybe he will make a run over to Sochi and clean up after the Olympics? Since Big Cat quit smoking he aint worth a hoot, and William NM? dont know, maybe he attempted hunting area 51 and is getting a good governmental probing?..., Stryker got that radioactive Rolex, and we havn't hear Fukushima from him since! Dancer got that one gold ring down on the Gulf, and I'm sure he's still out pounding sand, or should be..The rest of us are caught in the Polar vortex, in a place thats neither Heaven or Hell. Surely theres a few lurkers that ought to at least attempt a post? Maybe theres only a few AtPro users in the whole Country and World? Sure hope theres not many around me here!..

There are a lot of good hunters on all the forums, for that matter, that just don't post their finds and I really wish more or all did. I have a hunting buddy that mostly lurks and frequently makes good finds. In fact, he scored a well traveled 1900 Barber dime right off this morning. My A T was barely warmed up when he had his camera out and shooting. I was close to it, though. He came over to see what I was digging with my arm up to my elbow. He made a pass over my hole and said, "yeah, sounds good," and turned around and about three swings later hit the Barber. My target was about a foot deep crushed can. Now, Mud, as far as my being old, quite frankly, I resemble that remark. But, none the less, you had better hope I don't get up your way and do some poaching on your hunting grounds. HH jim tn

Man! I bet you dig a lot of cans chasing those big half stacks and silver dollars like you started off with last year! Then he hits that dime right in your spot! I dont know how I would feel about that! Probably OK, 'specially if he was a bud..sort of like watching somebody else land a big fish...sort of cool, especially if it really made their day and all...As far as you getting up this way, that would be OK by me...I doubt you have had the chance to hunt the big sand yet? Lots of it here, you will need to put some Padlatracks on that hoveround though!

Well, Mud, I finally made a New Years resolution that I can keep - to be even lazier that usual. Consistency has never been my strong suit, anyhow. and the best way to get me not to do something is to tell me to do it -- I've got hundreds (well, at least 3) of former girlfriends and a mean old ex who can all agree on one thing: he's absolutely un-trainable. :puke:

Well...I can't let Jim get all the finds at this time of year:rofl: It's pretty hard to keep up with him. He's very inspirational for us to get off our butts and get some hunting in. My Garretts have never lt me down in the cold, but my batteries have a few times.

John, my batteries love Jack Daniels with a Flat Tire chaser and have yet to let me down in any kind of weather. Hiccup Oh,oh! HH jim tn

There are other great hunters out there ..they just do not post as often .Or detect as often. I was talking about consistency. Day in and day out detecting.. ....

Yep, consistency...somebodies got to pull us all through the Winter..
I know a few fellows that hunt hard and often but are not members of any forums...met them in field and we sort of stay in touch, they are serious and pretty hardcore...you keep seeing the same guy or vehicle a time or two and you just have to go over and talk right? I dont know how the numbers break down, but I have to hope theres a lot more of us out there, and some just dont have the time or inclination to join and post? Dont know, I would suspect out of 100 detectors sold, maybe 10% of the users really get hooked? Maybe three of the ten join a Forum and/or local club? any research done on this regard? Plus, Life happens, and some fellows just fall out all together, like with any sport...Well, its a pretty big Planet, and these coils are so small, and our good time afield is short, and a guys gotta be just happy getting outside...anybody that can hunt consistently is really blessed, and for us that get to read their posts a real blessing.
