Just wanted everybody to know that the tech. support is alive and well at Garrett. I contacted them about a power supply problem I was having with my GTA1000. Got a reply from Melinda Harper, within a day. She said that the problem might be with the battery holders. She is sending me a new set FREE OF CHARGE. Considering I bought the detector in 1991 and certainly not under warranty of any kind, I thought that was great service. She said, if that turned out not to fix the problem, I can ship it to them and they will check it out for me. You certainly can't ask for more than that. Way to go Garrett!!
