Hi Everyone!

I met Lawrence today at the usual hunting spot this morning. By the time I got there, Lawrence had found a few wheats to start the day going :please:

A few hours later, I picked up a nice penny signal beside this log :jump:

After digging the penny, I ran my coil over the same hole and to my amazement found these three silver coins and two more wheats! ::crazy:

A few minutes later I dug another merc a few feet away. Here's the silver I found so far!

Before the end of the day, I dug another merc as I was walking back to the truck with Lawrence. Oh not again! :yikes: Lawrence found what we believe to be a rattlesnake! I took several pics but didn't stay long enough to find out if the snake was dead or alive. :chase: We believe it was dead because it never moved! That's the second snake seen in two consecutive weekends. :surprised:

Anyway, here is a scanned image of the five silvas found today! :hot:

Lawrence found several wheats but no silver. Don't feel too bad Lawrence! There's a heck of a lot of silva waiting to be found the next time! HH ya'll and thanks for looking ...James

but that looks to be a rat snake or corn snake. There are so many variations of markings in that species that its hard to identify, like some of the other snakes., If it has a round pupil >> O << it's non-poisonous. If it has a cat eye >> () << it's poisonous. That only applies in this country and does not include the rare coral snake that IS poisonous and is the only poisonous snake in this country that has a round pupil.
