Super Sick Sunday...:stretcher:

Wow...something bad jumped all over me Friday night..seems to be getting worse..This must be what it feels like to be over 60 I'm guessing..

So I got up and went for a hunt sort of to experiment as to just how bad a guy can be and still go out...

Head pounding..back muscles hurt, deep cough and lots of lung butter...deliriruous even...muttering all sorts of strange things about Cap'n Crunch and Yogi Bear and whatnot?...both arms numb from the elbows down...hit a place at Sunup...going about 1/4 speed..it hurt so hard to walk or stab a target, my eyeballs hurt even...I was mad at copper penny signals!...on every mid 70 ping I said, 'you better be a dime you Yogi bear blueberry pie eating SOB!" and took my time to evaluate the profile more than normal...sort of interesting showing, you can tell a dime from a copper Penny based upon the tight ping profile as opposed to the larger one a penny makes...took forever just to walk, had to concentrate on foot placement...grabbed a few nickels just to turn the dimes into Q's...didnt want to drop down for anything unless it was a Q...didnt dig no scrap....

Anyway, heres 2hrs of dirt clad with the F70 going half throttle...every one of them hurt, and its such a perfect day to be out making bank too..I could of really racked up a big day...now I know what you old guys deal with! I dont know what a guy would do being this sick far from home in some strange town? My best Idea would be get thrown in jail for something simple, just to have a place to stay..

.Anyway, a guy can get out and hunt in some pretty bad shape is the reason for this post..its not fun though, but a guy could do it if he had to, sort of like Work or raising a Family..y'all know....

that sounds like a form of food poisoning. Prolly from those "treats" you ate.

Well, except for the lung butter! that sounds like a serious lung congestion (infection) of some kind. Be careful with that, at our age stuff like that can creep up on us, infection can get MUCH worse.

Ha! No..its not food poisoning..wish it was, that has NO effect on the Mudster!...This is some sort of other malady...something deep and dark, like a spell from some sort of wizard or something?....I would say if my hunting buddy called and said he got permission to hunt a colonial yard full of gold coins today only, I'm so sick, I'd have to pass....

I would also say if Kate Upton called my cell phone right now, and said she was just down the road a few miles at the local Holiday Inn, just bought herself an F70, wants me to teach her about settings and proper swing speed, hands on tutelage, and whatnot, I'd have to pass on that too!.

Its a perfect day to hunt the Big Water for gold...but I doubt I could get into my waders without falling over in the parking lot....this painful little clad run was enough....I cant hardly open a beer or light up a smoke right now let alone type..although I am doing all three admirably 'cause I'm a trooper...

OK, so maybe if Kate did call, I might chug down some Theraflu and Redbull and give it a go? I'm so woozy and stupid, my Wife would have to drive me over there though...that would be hard to explain...I might make it work with some sort of fabricated fable..."Theres this damn Findmall Forum guy in town from England who wants to show me his button collection"..."Can you drive me over there?"

A guy would have to be nearly dead to not try to figure out how to work this theoretical..as far as my buddy and his colonial yard full of gold coins, y'all know THAT will never happen, its Easter Sunday and He's a family man!

Took my teen age son for annual dr visit. They said yes two things going around, a terrible cold and a 24 hr stomach bug. This prolonged NE winter is keeping folks shut in too much. Ive had that cold this week and Mud the first 2 or 3 days are the worst, up all night coughing. the water faucet nasal happening after that was actually a relief!. In protest i went out yesterday for the first time this season, 40 mins, some clad and an aluminum finger ring. I was impressed with the upgraded f75 camo, only thing i can say was it seemed more stable and less ambiguity when locking on signals etc. Today, what? snow? yuk. Had plans for a longer hunt tomorrow, i want to test this thing on some deeper targets. Hope all is well and you feel better. Remember the licorice root tea, will stop any cough in its tracks. CO

Mud all of your symptoms EXCEPT the severe lung congestion/butter, indicate the Flu, HOWEVER, that lung butter points to bacterial infection, especially if yellow/butter or green AND with YOUR risk factors a Doctor visit is in the cards. Your president has even thought of you: "If you like your DR. you can keep him/her".

Yeah...I have no health insurance...I did actually cough up a freaking filling last night! I had no idea if it came out of my lungs or out of a tooth, but it was a decent sized piece of a grey looking metal...I'll weigh it and post a pic!

Who knows? It may have been a pellet from our days of bb gun battles back in the 70's that finally worked its way into my lungs and out?...was strange though...thought I busted a tooth but here its nothing but a piece of metal!...I got the JB Weld left over after cutting my coil, so I may be able to patch myself back up and call it a day?...should be a primo week to hunt, hope y'all get out and find something!...:please:
Mud

Mud, personal experience has show me that JB weld does an top notch job of plugging a bad cavity or lost filling in a tooth, seals the nerve right up and stops the pain. But when you do finally go to the dentist you self built "filling" raises holy hell with the x-ray machine!!!
HH Ed in co.

Hope you get better bud, I had what sounds like the same thing. I, however, was in no shape to hunt for five days and then just drug along when I did for another three or four days. But, for me 60 or so was a good while ago. Don't refrain from seeing a Dr. It is nothing to mess with. None the less, good pile of clad. HH jim

Sorry to hear of your medical issues Mud. Drink lots of alcohol as it fights infection and kills all forms of bacteria. At least that is what my bro keeps explaining to me  On a more serious note, drink lots of fluids (other than beer) as hydration is crucial at this point. Hope you feel better.

Run your detector coil over your body and see if you have anymore pellets lodged in your body :poke:

On a side note, there are some doctors that will give good discounts on paying cash. If you see funky color lung butter, that would be a good indicator to inquire within.

Hope you get well soon Buddy !!! ..

Wish ya better days mud, hate to hear your down like that.

Mud buddy you still with us? Hope you are on your way to recovery. Miss your posts.

HA Just wait till your over 70 :surrender:

A real drag...get better soon.
A mudpuppy at anything less than top form is still productive but not quite as impressive as the real deal.

Thanks boys..yeah, I'm still hurting, but alive for some reason....this is the first day a guy could actually read the screen without any kind of intense eyeball pain.....I think this is an advanced case of "FeatherLung"...its like theres a feather in your lungs, and the more you try to cough it up, the more it floats around in there and makes you cough all the more...than add the fever, and sinus' pouring butterscotch taffy...then a guys back and chest start to hurt so bad from trying to cough up that feather!...

.Nothing tastes good, no appetite, like being in some sort of demented butterscotch nasal candiland with Rosie O'Donnel body punching you and yelling all the time.....everything hurts, your teeth and eyes and skin....I did go and do a 1hr water hunt today in Lake Mi to try to shake it off...got a little silver earring and clad.....a guy cant be a complete pansy, even though I want to....theres plenty of time for that when I get a bit older, or discover the joys of Golf.....this is our prime time of the year!...:clapping:

from what I hear, "FeatherLung" can last anywhere from 1 week to 3...I'm gonna try to shake it with some tobacco smoke and beer...I'll report back on the results....

Good to hear your back in the hunt.
I read this post Sunday night and overnight my wife and I caught the bug Monday Morning. Had tickets to the Tiger Opener but had to sit it out at home. I was going to scalp the tickets and spend the afternoon hunting the ghetto neighborhoods while everyone was partying. But instead I was stuck in bed with the shiver shakes. No fun at all.
I knew the internet had virus ' s but not in this way.
Well glad your better and a have a beer or two for me.

Glad to hear you are still vertical and that you survived your candiland "beating"
