Howdy Folks,
Just saw this today on ABC News:
Some REALLY lucky newbie in England bought......to borrow the article's phrase,a "basic detector" ; then went out to a farmer's field and found one the largest caches of 4th century Roman gold coins ever found.
Something like over a 100 (?) coins were eventually located
.
The article didn't say what brand detector he was using; just that it was "basic".
Does that mean like, Radio Shack basic ??????
Regardless, talk about beginner's luck!! it would make anybody numb to see all that gold come out of the ground !!
