Pam and I are heading East this Friday. It is nearing time for DIV V and the wife and I are participants in a really cool dig. We will be headed for Virginia this Friday afternoon a couple of hours after I get off of work.
I'll be headed to Strasburg, Va. to visit my best friend and do a little detecting on his spread. He lives very near the site of the Battle of Fisher's Hill and I always manage to pop a 3-ringer or two outta the ground there.
Then it is off to Culpeper, Va. where I will be hooking up with Ed SW Fla and we will be partaking in the DIV V event 24 - 26 March. Pam and I are really excited and hope to uncover a bunch of cooool relics. I'll be posting pictures as long as the internet connection continues to work at the motel. Sadly enough I did not meet with Ed at DIV 1 and we talked briefly at DIV II. (I did not even realize it was ED!!! I'm a DORK!!) I won't make that mistake at DIV V!!!!!
And then THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE TRIP!!! Pam and I will be invading Vern's humble abode for a couple of days. Being that close to the V'man and not making a visit just did not seem right. So Vern has kindly accepted my request to visit and bask in his "Vern-ness." Can't wait to see the killer dog up close and oh yeah, Vern too!!!
I'm hoping we can go to the Espresso place and share a squrming moment later on. We'll be taking in a few sights near the Cross homestead and I'll be sure to post some kodak moments. Chance's are Vern will get them posted before I do but that's fine. My only regret will be the new editions of photoshop that will most certainly accompany this visit. However, I still need to dust off my copy of Paint Shop Pro X and see what I'm capable of.
Then it's back to my friends place is Strasburg, Va. for a couple of days and up to Gettysburg to round out the road trip. Yep, driving all the way.
So stay tuned to your favorite forum for pic's of Butch and Pam's most wondermous adventures starting this Friday and playing until the first week in April!!!!
The fun is about to begin!!!!!!
