And another little tyke is crying because I found their silver Pooh Bear Ring. Funny how our sport is. Lost stuff makes some sad and others happy. I will go with the happy part :bouncy: BTW Rosco, that makes # 11...........

Too bad we can't get some of our finds back to their original owners. It would be priceless to see the look on a little girls face after getting a ring such as the one you found.... :)

Cool looking ring there Bro. It's been raining and snowing here so the tecting thing has been put on hold a while.

My brother and I talked about the same thing John just mentioned. Back to the owner? I'm not sure if I would want to do that. Finding something for someone that lost it is one thing, but FINDERS KEEPERS when I spent the money for the equipment and the time to find it......Yea I've been told I don't have a heart. Found one on a ring though....ehheheh...

...naw, Rosco, youre like every other human being in the face of genuine wealth. How you define that is the only issue.

The Rule will always remain: "Finders Keepers."

What you do with the moral implications is strictly up to you.

I have had the good fortune to return a few things to kids and the look on their faces and their response is priceless.
Back to the owner? I'm not sure if I would want to do that.
If I found a class ring or one with an inscription I would try a quick search for the owner. But I am not going to stand next to the sand box, hold it up and yell "did anyone lose this". Finders keepers, losers........well.....get over it....

Some cat on one of these forums got all irate once cause I eyeballed a white Au and diamond earring in Wally World, once. I stopped by the service desk on the way out and asked if anyone had reported it missing - no one had. SO I kept it. I still have it. He's probably still moralizing on it.
