Super nice old token & some old stuff... from an iron infested site

I was working an area that was giving my other machine fits. It's a excellent machine with VID#'s & it does really well for the most part. But in trashy spots-especially homestead iron rich areas-the Tesoror's do a better job.

So I went out with my X2 & the 7" coencentric on it. I picked up the token early & did my best to scour that location. A few older items but the token was definitely the prize.

I'm not "up" on tokens & have zero reults with a google search by the name/adress...It looks really old-Anyone?. I'll also post it in whatzits.
The 12Guage base is a 1901 New Rival...A 4 hole 2 star 1/2" USA army button & an E..It's a pin & not a broken piece -just an E. But it's complete with the pin & clasp intact wich is rare for the pins I dig up..

The Tesosro shake was the key to pull out itty bitty targets from the Iron & trash. It's not only a homestead site-it's a modern picknic area & the tabs abound of course. In example the small USA button rang clear right next to some small rusty bits & foil.

i found 5 cent in trade, but 2 cent, thats got to be 1800's. what town is near? might find something in library archives.

They didn't set a date but the last ones were 1920's. Many variations & this appears to be an old one. It has been clipped also wich means its cool but not of any value. I'd guess 1900's... It says 2 1/2 cents BTW- a half a cent was actually worth something back then.

I plan to hit that spot again & see what some more unmasking will produce. After I'm done with that I'll switch to my 10 x 12 & go over it again hoping for some deep stuff.

Unfortunately the hose was dozed into the cellar so anything in the cellar is long gone. But the surrounding garden areas still exist so thats where I'm working. I talked to an older park employee who was very helpfull in describing the area before it was dozed.

my guess is that it is early 1900's for the fact it seems to be made of aluminum. most older tokens I have found have been brass or some other metal besides aluminum.

I always enjoy finding old tokens, and the only thing that might beat them is a decent silver coin.

Were you going to be working this site on Saturday, or maybe Sunday afternoon?

Might be more good stuff, and if you'd like some company I might fit the time in my very busy (detecting) schedule.

do you have a close up of the usa 2 start 4 hole 1/2"?

I think I found the same thing...I thought it was a button

The button I found was frankly so erroded I had to use a magnifier to see any details. But when doing a search I found an auction that had some identical buttons-small ones lower rt in posted picture.
