I just got back from a trip to an old resort that gave up some nice silver. The morgan silver dollar was between 10 and 12 inches deep. The other dollars were 2 and 6 inches deep. The walking liberty 1/2 was a little over 8" deep. I was using the 10 1/2" DD coil in the coin mode with sens at max and it ID'ed the half at 44 and the dollars at 46. I also included a pic of our camping area.

Nice pieces of silver Steve, What area were you hunting? Maybe someday we can hook up for a hunt. HH Dennis in Idaho

That is some very nice silver, what a trip! Did you find just silver or coppers too? Ron

I use warm water, soap, and an old tooth brush. This way you will not scratch them and it cleans the dirt off. The soil was a soft lome with very few rocks and not very mineralized.
