shooter what a sweet little cashe, i have found wheat pennies about 5 in one hole before but thats awesome! how wide was the signal or was it really tight?

Sure is a nice spill you found  ... That would totaly send shivers down my spine... My luck was about the same as amcjavelin, where under a close line I found 10 wheats and 1 silver rosie...

It wasn't wide, if you notice there are some stack stains on some of the coins. I worked this camp about 25 years ago with a VLF-990 Fisher, it was my first detector. found a few coins but nothing to scream about, today for lack of a good place to go close-by I figure lets try the old camp. Coins everywhere!!! Was working the kiddy area, swings, ETC. Alot of digging at 4 DISC. but found about 60 odd coins, figured I try the baseball field, mistake so went back to the kiddy area, moved up from where I was working earlier and BANG! hit that spill, I kept working that area in a tight overlap and picked up 9 wheaties (indiviuals) and they were every bit of 6 to 8" inches, that Garrett Pro Pointer really helps. Most of the signals disappear from AIR GAP, before i might have dumped out on the signal, but that pointer got it right back on track.
