Super 12 concentric coil

On my MXT, I am able to run the Gain setting higher than with the stock 950 at the same site. Weighs about an ounce more than the stock 950 and increases depth and coverage. If you are like me and your soil conditions don't require the use of a DD coil, this coil may be worth looking into. HH Randy

Hey Digger,

Is this a Whites coil? What is the going $? Do you notice a big difference in depth from the 950 stock coil?

This is a White's coil. It lists for $250. Although I have had an MXT for several years, you can get it for $50 if you buy a new detector. In my moderately mineralized soil, it seems to be getting about 10-15% more depth. I wonder if it is because I can set the Gain up higher than I can on the 950 coil? Even the new style 950! Interesting that I can't see any loss of sensitivity either. I've read several field test reports online that indicate DFX results are even better than the MXT or M6. HH Randy
