Sunray X1, should I sell it or use it?

Hi all,
I am looking for opinions on what the value would be on a new unused x1 probe. I am trying to decide if I want to sell it or just keep it and put it to use....I have always used my propointer and never messed with trying anything else...
 
I have both pinpointer and the X1 probe and all I can say is the X1 is by far more useful,as it is an extendtion of how you found the target to begin with because the X1 is now the same as the coil ! Even if you use it for a long time and for some unknown reason do not like it , you will comand just as much $$$ if you sold now !!!!! SO USE IT !!! Also, it provides the best way to change coils as the cord stays on the outside of the shafts with no more fouling arround with the total bs of stringing the coil cords......... for that reason alone I would put that baby on and never take it off !!!!
 
yes it gives tones just like your coil does. no chasing iron around in the hole
 
Thanks for the info all. I am thinking I am going to keep it and use it, I just want to be sure first as I would rather be able to sell it while it's still new and the rod it's attached to isnt beat up or anything.
 
If you do sell it, I hope you'll consider giving Virgile in Okla a chance at it. That poor guy has been looking for one for awhile and all his deals keep falling through. He has an ad in the classifieds.
 
If i were to decide to sell it, does anyone know what they go for? I was contacted out of the blue by someone saying they would like first dibs on it for a backup but then he said he paid $225 for his. I cant see selling it for that as if i remember correctly it cost more than that with it coming already attached to an upper rod. I think i would be better off just keeping it if its going to be less than it costed especially with them no longer being available. I think i might just put it on and see what I think this coming weekend and see for myself.

it is the newer version with the shorter probe and single connector that holds it to the machine when not in use.
 
After you try the X1 out this weekend and see how easy it is to change coils, along with how well it works lets hear back on your findings ! Also, do take a silver coin with you as a test coin for sound and you will be amazed how this works compaired to a pinpointer. Good Luck !

They do go for around 300.00..with the shorter probe....I have enough to last me a lifetime!!..Think I have a fetish with them?

I was looking in the classifieds mascard and a guy there said he paid you $395 for one..:surprised:
 
I might regret this guys but I have decided to sell it....I just figured since I use a couple different machines I might as well keep using my propointer...
 
If you never used the Sun-Ray X-1 probe you will never miss it. BUT in my opinion there is not a hand held that can even come close. Someone will really be happy. JMHO HH :minelab:

That was why I figured I would be better off selling it without trying it out Hershey...lol
