Sunray X1 probe

chevy

New member
Am a new owner of an Explorer 11,have had it for about 6 months I would like to know if anyone has any opions on the Sunray X1 probe.

I was exhausted with pinpointing with my ExpII and bought this small MD for $125 which closed is 10in x 5in x 1.5in only and can get a small coin at real 3in. It is all metall MD. I am keeping it at my belt and it works fine. Just my solution. HH

I added one to my Explorer after trying a several different probes and am very pleased withe X-1. The X-1 is an in-line small coil. The stock coil and X-1 are connected through a small switch box. The user can switch between the X-1 or the attached coil. The X-1 will operate with discrimination, all metal, or pinpointing just like the attached coil and uses the same circuits and power so actually is a 1" coil with depth of about 2 to 3". I find the X-1 to be supper and works great. A really find product that is the best I have used.

Thanks for the reply Cody regarding the X1 probe,I have been using a Whites handheld probe that was given to me with the purchase of the Explorer not a very well made piece of equipment.I appreicate all of the information given on this site. Thank You: Chevy

Chevy if you get the X-1 you'll simply love it, it's the best accessory you can buy for your Explorer! I love my X-1 and couldn't even begging to imagine being without it, get it, you won't regret it! It will save you time and it will avoid you from scratching any coins!

its the next best thing i've purchased next to the EX 2. do you live in hanover va? i'm in chesterfield va near richmond va.i do alot of relic hunting and just saturday i went on my first coin hunt and found 3 old coins that were about 8 inches deep and i used the probe, it cuts alot of time off of recovery so thats better on your back:minelab::detecting:HH

but I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this.
When I use the pinpont function on my Explorer the x1 is real noisy.
Im usually running my sensativity up around 22,
Does this happen to you?
Its not a major big deal..What I do is press the pinpoint button on and off three or four times and the pinponter becomes quiet.
