Sunray X-8 looks weird

I realize the subject title of this post sounds a little different, but I just purchased a X-8 coil with cover, and when I removed the cover all I could see was a white epoxy filler poured in the bottom of the coil. Is this normal. Thanks!
 
Don't let the looks fool you as it is a great coil! I use mine about 80% of the time. It is almost as deep as the pro coil and better seperation in trash and lighter on my bad shoulder.
 
Thanks for the reply guys. There were 3 small spots of adhesive bonding the cover to the coil and when I removed the cover I was kind of shocked. I normally use the 10.5 FBS or 6 Excellerator, and they don't look that way. Appreciate it.
