Sunray X-12 coil

Member
I'm considering a Sunray X-12 coil. Is there any noticeable increase in depth over the stock 10 inch coil?

minimal depth increase compared to the stock 10" Tornado coil but almost 3" more coverage, about the same sensitivity and feels about the same swinging it.
its a great coil to have.

Neil

Arts right its S12 for the Sov, X12 for the Explorer/Etrac

The coils I seem to have the best depth with and work the best for me is the 8 inch coinsearch and the 8 inch SunRay S-8 coil for a 8 inch coil. For the 10 inch coil the new Slimline Tornado coil works great, this is the stock coil for the Elite and the GT. Now for a bigger coil the S-12 of Sun Ray has been the best bigger coil I have ever used, some like the WOT, but for me the S-12 works better for my park and school hunting.
Depth with the Sovereign come with the experience with it and being able to go slow to hear those faint tone changes.
