hello guys i just need a bit of info on the SunRay Stealth X-8 coil for the Minelab Explorer
do you get the same depth for it and can it get through the trash and it it any lighter than the standard coil is it a all around better coil for coin shooting
thanks
Richard

Richard,
I love my 8 inch coil on my Explorer as it runs so much smoother than the original and has almost the same depth. When I say almost is because the deepest with the 8 inch I have dug is around 8 or so inches while the origial I did dig a few time to over 10. I think I just haven went over any real deep targets yet with the 8 inch Stealth coil.
The weight is very nice a seems to be a lot lighter than the origianl coil too, or it just balance nice as it is a pleasure to use.

The X-8 is a great coil. On the plus side: It's lightweigt, pinpoints excellent, sees through trash very well and gets good depth for it's size. You can expect 8-10 inches on dime size targets in good conditions. I don't think it get the depth as the standard coil but what you get in weight reduction, pinpointing and target separation is a good trade-off. On the negative side: You do lose some depth and the depth meter is off by about 25%. I love my X-8 and it's now my standard coil for coin shooting. I hope this helps, good luck and good hunting!
