Sunray Stealth X-12 coil

Just bought a new one for my XS as I fancied a change to another SEF - it should be here in the morning but the forecast is rain all day so I'll not be out - any difference - am in the UK.

Herd great things about the x12, and they are rarely for sale used. I have always wanted to see a head to head comparison with the x12 vs the 10x12a sef. Good luck and

HH,

Tom

Let us know what you think about it when you get some clear weather.

You will love that coil. In my ground there was no comparison with the results between the X-12 and the SEF 10X12. A lot of satisfied 10X12 SEF users out there but the Sun-Ray coils work great for me. The 6X8 SEF is a very good coil if you need a mid-sized coil. JM2 HH :minelab:

LOVE the x-12! The x-12 is my primary silver slayer for my general use coil. If targets are just too dense for the big fella or if EMI gets too bad then I switch to the swift and mighty 6x8 sef. The x-12 is lighter than the stock coil and WAY lighter than the 10x12 sef. I don't struggle with the weight myself, but tennis elbow, back and shoulder pain aren't my thing either so I don't push it with a heavier than necessary coil. The x-12 can more than hold its own with any of them.

I was curious as to what settings other people run the 10x12 SEF coil on the explorer XS. A few months back I got the 10x12 SEF after hearing all the great hype about it. I have always used the stock xs coil, but mostly the sunray x-8 which is an awesome coil. After several months of hunting with the 10x12 SEF I have not been real impressed. It does run real stable at higher sensitivity, but that has mostly just resulted in more deep nails. I run the XS at iron mask -9 and the sensitivity at about 21 which is pretty high for a bigger coil in the ground I hunt. I should have maybe gone with the X-12, probably way lighter also.

sell it on the classifieds or an auction site. I'm sure there would be someone who would love to give one a shot at a lesser than new price.

You can then apply what money you recupe and try the Sunray X-12...which is also a GREAT coil.

I run my SEF coil at the exact same settings as I do my X-12 and other coils...but I hunt with an SE...and not the XS.

I hope some XS hunters can chime in and help you out with what settings they use.

I hope you can get some settings that work for you in your area because the 10 x 12 SEF coil is a great one for me.

If not...then I'm sure the X-12 will serve you well. It is a killer coil.

Well it was a killer on my ears that's for sure - see separate post in Sun Ray section

Hopefully Ralph can help you get it figured out. I love my X-12...and it's very stable for me.

You could always post a FS of the 10x12, or you could just pm me your price
