Sunray SR-12 battery charger

I have one and it is a good charger HOWEVER should it need repair you are SOL and I think his shipping is quite high

Much better setup

How much did that setup set you back? What battery pack/s do you use? I seen that there is a company that makes NiMh battery packs for the sovereigns.

About $50.00 + or - keep checking e bay and you will find them from time to time Don't have a Sov but it will charge any batteries you hook up to it

That is if you get one that works good yet. I have one I use all the time as it will charge and also discharge the battery so it can recycle many batteries that have built up a memory, it has saved many battery's people thought were shot. I use it on all the new batteries that are Nickle Hydride that comes on the new detectors as every new one I sell I will charge and discharge the battery a couple of times to wake them up, this way they hold a full charge right away as most when used the first time or 2 don't hold a full charge and get better each time they have been charged. I just do that with all the new Minelabs with this charger and my Sun Ray charging stations for my GT and my Explorers and will hook right up to the XS and the XS2 battery packs.
Like I say if it is a good one and complete it should be able to charge from you cig lighter in your car or from 110 volts. Mine is over 13 years old and would be lost without it.

I will have to check it out if you don't want to buy it as I would love to find another one that works like it should.

There is another option if you don't need the discharging as the place that sells the new rechargeable packs for the XS2 and the Excalibur's sells a very nice $20 charger that will go to a trickle charge after it is fully charged and with a adapter will work on the Elite,GT and the Explorer packs.
