Sunray S12 coil.....how do you like it?

I just ordered my S-12 from David at Dixie Metal Detectors for my Excalibur 800, after sitting on the fence for about a year about it. IMHO the S-12 should give me better coverage and a little more depth when looking for the small Gold rings & coins. My concern was the extra drag in chest deep water, but the good thing is the larger coil will slow me down in my sweeps and give the detector time to locate the deep signals. Just my 2 cents worth, David was a great guy to deal with too! H.H.:)

Thanx for the reply ....good luck with the S12 on your Excal....
how do you wire it in being its a water unit?

to get the S-12 and Grey Ghost Under water headphones hard wired in as soon as I get the items noted from Dixie Detectors. H.H.:)

ill be ordering a s-12 soon and compared to the 10" coil the 12" sunray is alot thinner and seems like it has no weight to it. i have one on my explorer. its a great coil.
