sunray probe compatibility for explorer ll

Does anybody know of compatibility or problems with shaft fit when using a sunray x1 probe from an xs on an explorer ll ? I am looking to find a used one and it seems I read something a while back about a fit problem with the xs shaft.
 
Buy One, no problems, You will love it. Cuts digging time in half to locate the item in the ground. I will never be without one again, and I have been Treasure Hunting for forty years. HH...Jesse.
