Well it hit close to 50 today so hit an old ball field off limits in season....Well its well made, light for its size, and no coil support needed as when tightened it don't move around..Did it go deeper than the stock Fisher 8 nope, but never got a silver coin over 8 inches on this field and my three deepest targets were a wheatie, junk ring and a Jefferson nickle at about 8 inches but the coverage was super and should work well on those beaches that go forever or large fields. Did manage 3 wheaties from the 30 and 40's and about 5 bucks in clad at various depths which averaged around 6 inches..Have to admit it took a bob or two more to ground balance and usually hunt this area at a 6 sens. and had to drop to 4 for a stable unit. Hard to believe but it pinpoints as well as my 8 inch stock Fisher coil and grabbed 6 inch foil at will. Am I satisfied( you bet) and have used a CZ since 92 so know the unit well. Can't wait till I hit some of those real old fields in the Spring to give it a real test, but its a winner in my book
