SunRay DTI III Meter

Will a SunRay DTI III meter work on the new SOV/GT? I have never tried a meter on my Minelab SOV's before and would like to try one, a SunRay or Patrick meter is what I'm looking at, any comments? Thanks H.H.:)

Hi

The DTI 3 will work on your GT. I've got one on mine. I love it and it's very accurate and has a back light for night hunting. To zero it, you run a dime under coil and adjust it to read 180 on the meter. Mine has a chart on it telling you the readings of all coins, gold, pulltabs, etc. Mine has been very accurate and dependable.

I use the Patriot Meter and I think its the best, most accurate meter out there. Well worth iit. Dead-on accurate. I tried the DTI meters, but the Patriot is far superior to them and forget the Minelab meter,
what a joke that even rescaled its still no match for the Patriot.

I tried many different meters over the years on my Sovereign other than the homemade ones from Multi meters and find the Sun Rays work the best. The Rescaled Minelab ones to 180 numbers too are good, but not as sensitive as the Sun Rays. The Patriot is a well built meter, good back light to it, the auto calibration is good too, but that is where it ends with me. Those that are experienced with the Sovereign will find that the ID on the Sun Ray and rescaled Minelabs are dead on and much faster response than the Patriots are so we can get a better ID on deep coins. I had a Patriot and used it for a couple of weeks before I sold it to another experienced Sovereign user which also sold it after trying it for a couple of weeks and went back to the Sun Ray DTI meters.
The Patriot is a good meter for some as we see posted, but for me my Sun Ray DTI does a better job for me and most I have talk too, so if it works good for you I feel that is great and what you should use.
Good luck
Rick

but to say the rescaled minelab meter is a joke ,,,well that proves you are ignorant, then to say the patriot is ''well worth the money'' that statement proves to me that you dont care about money, both are ok ways to live your life . But I think you are sadly mistaken to say its better,The fact is its not better. plain and simple. I would really love it if you could point out what excatally makes it better. Is it the massive size ?? is it the extra weight?? is it the pitful analog display??? or is it the fact that once installed it makes you machine topple over like a led zepplin??? what excatally makes it better....I think you are talking like a salesman .......For the record its not better. and for damn near 300 bucks its no bargin and not worth the money......I think you just want to chose the oppsite opnion, some people live in there own reality and its clearly evident from the misinformend statements you made that you live in your own reality too.........good luck with that boat anchor you call a meter............
