Sunny and Cabin Fever

HuntinDog

Well-known member
It was SUNNY on Sunday and I had a few minutes to hunt, so I headed to an old pre-school that I know about.
It has been closed for about 5 or more years and I was sure that someone had hunted it.
Well my guess was wrong or at least they missed a lot.
I hunted a little more than 1/2 hr and covered it pretty well. It's small. I'll go back and give it another slow shot.
I was picking up the normal clad when next to a tree I got a low VDI that was solid but a little jumpy.
I dig most ant positive signal.
Well I stick my digger in and pop the plug over and there laying on top is this nice little GOLD ring.
I jump up and do the happy dance.
This was my second GOLD ring for this year and brings my total rings up to 9 for 2010.
After I calmed down I check a few more spots and I'm out of time.
I managed to pull another piece of a broken junk ring and a couple of junk ear rings in the jewelry dept.
In the coin dept I found a 1929 D Wheat and my first Saq Dollar for the year.
And a 1966 Mustang.
It was a great hunt in the sun.
Thanks for looking and HH

I'm glad you could get out and you hit he jackpot today in that hunted out lot. Just goes to show everyone that many places aren't hunted out and if you think they may have been hunted, try it anyway. One never know what the other person missed. Good going and thanks for posting. Stay warm! Nancy

An up-date on the ring....
It wasn't stamped so I took it up to the jeweler to have it checked.
It's a first for me in that it's 18K:clapping:
10s and 14s I've found but this is a first.
Woo-Hoo another happy dance:wiggle:

HH

BIG congratulations! That's so cool! Now that you have a first in that category, you'll have to fill another and another. What a joy!!! HH and thanks for the update! Nancy
