Got out yesterday with my hunting buddy.
We headed back to where I found the LC and Indians.
Today was a very cold 34* high with winds up to 20mph making it feel more like 24*. A vast change from a few days prior when it hit 68*
Anyhow, I always find the cold a pain to hunt in being layered up so much but, at-least we got out.
I did not find any silver or old coins today but, did find a Civil War Eagle button (back marked Scovill-Waterbury), a flattie( back marked Rich Orange), a couple of wheat's which I gave to the homeowner (17,24 not pictured as I had already handed it off) and a toy tractor LOL. I also dug some shotgun caps chasing Indians and some assorted junk/clad.
I also dug what appears to be some kind of old play money. It almost resembles a very small flat button without a shank and no signs of a shank ever being present. It almost looks like it has inscribed writing on it with a date?
Maybe it is a small flat button but, if here was a shank I sure cannot see it under a loop.
My buddy did find an 28 Merc, a flattie, a few buckle and the assorted small junk/clad.
Here are my finds then one of the keeper finds cleaned up along with my buddies finds for yesterday.
As soon as the weather warms up we are going back to search some more. The owner also said his folks own an old house older then his (prior to 1810) and he will take us there and get us permission.
